There are certain Christians who have created a charismatic subculture around certain values related to the charismatic dimensions of the faith. Pastor Derek calls this subculture charismania and he is calling us to leave. Christian subcultures like this one is too narrow and too arrogant to contain all that God wants to do on the earth. For those who have been touched by the charismatic renewal, it is time to come down the mountain.

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble, because God is opposed to anyone receiving worship instead of him. Pride is a kind of self-worship, where we put ourselves on the throne of our own hearts and, like the devil, we declare, “I will make myself like the Most High God.” In this final installment in the Seven Deadly Sins series, Pastor Derek explains that humility is the remedy for the sin of pride.
