When one of the disciples said to Jesus, “Teach us to pray,” He gave his disciples both a pattern to pray and a prayer to pray. Modern-day disciples are making similar requests, because most of us feel guilty that we do not pray enough, or we don’t know what to say in prayer, or we simply do not know how to pray. In this message, Pastor Derek discuses prayer using his translation of the Lord’s prayer derived from the KJV and NIV translations of Matthew 6 and Luke 11.

The Prayer of Jesus
Our Father who is in heaven,
Holy is your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who have sinned against us
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from the evil one.
For yours in the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.
